ST GERMAN’S extension

We worked with our clients from initial design right through to construction to create a split level extension to an apartment on the ground floor of a Victorian building. The form of the extension protrudes out at an angle to replicate an existing bay window to the side of the property. We have carefully sculpted a skylight to exist within the irregular shape to flood the space with balanced natural northern light.

When the client first approached us they were looking for additional space and to reposition their lounge which was located towards the front of the property looking out to their drive and there was no direct access into the garden at the back of the property. One of the key features of the space is the frame-less glass oriel window, a modern twist of the bay windows present throughout the property. This has the added benefit of bringing in further natural light into the space, and is a win with the clients' cat.
