Upper Brockley Road

Originally a mid-terrace maisonette flat sitting above a retail unit within the Brockley Conservation Area in South East London, we worked with our client to identify an opportunity to create two special apartments extending into the roof and rear.

Following a successful planning application, we created two contemporary loft-style apartments, which include contemporary features including the restored and exposed brickwork which runs throughout the property to celebrate the original features, exposed conduits and fittings give the properties an industrial feel. The main entrance to the flats has been painted bright orange, which really hits you in the face when you first walk in, giving you a flavour of the bold design features the flats have.

The upper flat includes a bespoke staircase clad in burnt cedar which sits as a central, almost, ornamental feature.

The interiors are finished in reclaimed floorboards and fitted with modern kitchen and bathroom, creating a lovely balance between old and new.
