Our client had purchased a beautiful but dated 1930s house sitting on a quiet road that required extending and modernisation. We worked with them to rationalise the spaces within the house so that they flowed more seamlessly, bringing better alignment with their needs as a growing family.

The entire house was gutted to create a new ground floor extension containing an open plan kitchen, dining and play area, which draws you into the rear garden. A compact, hard-working family bathroom sits on the first floor alongside large, airy bedrooms. And finally, the conversion of the vast loft space added two large bedrooms, study space and a large shower room.

Clever storage solutions exist in abundance throughout the house, offering great design and practicality.

Intricate vertical brickwork frames the rear extension adding to the architectural variety of the house. Exposed steelwork frames the open plan layout on the ground floor, now a trademark of our designs.

The result is a space that now breathes, lets in light into the deepest parts of the home, and brings new connections to the outside area and with each other, enriching their day-to-day family life.
